More details about this pledge

Storing the grit supplies

If you agree to become a Community Grit Keeper you will need space in your property to store a one ton bag of grit (approximately 1m cubed in size). If you do not have the appropriate storage space, we will put you in touch with the other volunteers that have signed up to your pledge so you can check whether they can store the grit supplies.

Sharing your contact details with other volunteers

If you agree to become a Community Grit Keeper or volunteer, we will automatically share your contact details that with other participants in your school.

  • May I pass on a huge thank-you from staff and parents, many of whom said they had struggled to walk to school yesterday: they went on to say that once they got to Wentworth Rd it was suddenly so easy. So thank you to all of you - I know that it wasn't just those who signed up, but many other residents gave a lot of time on Sunday to clear pavements and grit roads. It is very much appreciated.
